The Ikebana arrangements included in this gallery were created during 2020, during the coronavirus epidemic when social distancing and the wearing of masks made it difficult to spend time in my favorite places for photographing nature. My gardens offered me some opportunity, but I found that they gave me a great deal of material to use in my Wafu Ikebana arrangements. I am a certified Wafu Ikebana teacher, my flower name is 'Jakuko' which means lively red flower. The art of creating beautiful arrangements, both large and small have given me a great deal of focus, peaceful moments and a sense of calm while there is so much chaos around us. Please enjoy this beautiful Japanese cultural art using mostly flowers and branches from my gardens. Polly
